QPR fullback Simpson: Morrison should be playing for Man Utd

QPR defender Danny Simpson says teammate Ravel Morrison should still be playing for Manchester United.

Morrison was off-loaded to West Ham two years ago before ending up at QPR on loan.

Simpson, who also played for United, said: "The first time I saw him he was a little kid but you knew straight away the ability he'd got.

"For whatever reason, it didn't work out at Man United. For me, he could have still been playing there now in the first team with the likes of Januzaj and the rest of them.

"It's not worked out but I'm sure he'll get back at the top. He's moved away and grown up in the last few years.

"He's been top-class since he's come here and I think his performances have shown that he's still hungry and he's still as good as everyone knows he is.

"He's realising his potential and he's going to be an England player in the future - as long as he's committed, focused and determined - because he's got the ability.

"For players like Ravel, (Niko) Krancjar and Yossi Benayoun, the Wembley stage is for those kinds of players to go and perform and be match-winners."
