QPR are facing competition for Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila.
Rs boss Harry Redknapp remained confident last night that the £7million deal would go through, but they now face stiff competition for his signature.
Rennes president Frederic Saint-Sernin claims to have received enquiries from clubs in Russia and England, one of which is believed to be Everton, says the London Evening Standard.
QPR have promised a salary in the region of £80,000-a-week, as well as a release clause which will allow him to leave if they are relegated.
But Saint-Sernin insists the move is in the balance and says more talks will take place during the day to determine M'Vila's future.
He said: "We are in discussions with QPR, but since yesterday, other clubs have also made approaches."
