QPR are eyeing Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong.
The Daily Star says City hardman De Jong, who Rs boss Mark Hughes signed when he was in charge at the Etihad Stadium, is on his list of potential Joey Barton replacements.
Barton will be out for the first three months of next season due to his 12-match ban.
