QPR defender Nedum Onuoha has told manager Harry Redknapp he can replace the departing Ryan Nelsen.

Onuoha, who has played the majority of his 33 games for QPR at right-back, reckons Redknapp has a ready-made replacement already at Loftus Road.

"My preferred position is centre-back," the former Manchester City defender told the Fulham Chronicle.

"A lot of players have had success in more than one position. I've just tried to do the best I can wherever I'm selected."
