QPR defender Hill: Falcao? A breeze after life with Tranmere Rovers

QPR defender Clint Hill is up for his clash with Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao today.

The 35-year-old will look back on today's trip to United with pride.

"Not many start out at Tranmere and finish like this."

The reality of today's game is in Hill's first wage packet.

He said: "I got £60 a week and a free bus pass. Now I am going against a man on £265,000 a week.

"When I was grubbing around those lower divisions I never dreamed this would happen.

"When I first started out it was the old era and that kind of money was not even thought of then. So pushing 36 and to be playing against these kind of players is massive achievement for myself and something I will look back on and be very proud of.

"My first pro contract was £200 so I was living the dream back then.

"I accept I am not in the first flush of youth and this might be my last chance to play at United, sol it's nice to say I actually want to say you played against the likes of Falcao?

"I played against Luis Suarez a few years ago and he absolutely killed me. At least I can say I played against one of the best players in the world. Not a lot of people can say that, so for a person like my it's wonderful.

"I can look back and think 'you have done well, son'.

"It's all about your own personal goals and to say that I have over achieved I probably have. But I have worked damn hard for it.

"Best player? Suarez for me. An unbelievable player. He has movement, character and determination, the lot. He really has. I was pleased he played for my home team Liverpool."
