QPR completely drop pursuit of Blackburn’s Samba

QPR manager Mark Hughes insists that the club will not continue their pursuit of Blackburn Rovers defender Chris Samba.

The 27-year old Congo DR centre-back was the subject of a bid from the R’s recently, after he handed in a transfer request, but Rovers have made it clear they do not want to sell.

Hughes says that QPR will no longer maintain their interest in Samba who looks likely to stay at Ewood Park.

"Unfortunately I don't give you many clues but I will try and steer you in the right direction: maybe [thinking we will sign Samba] is the wrong direction to go,” Hughes said.
