QPR have signed goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from Reading.
The 24-year old English gloveman has signed a four-year deal with the R's for an undisclosed fee after spending most of the past seven years with the Royals.
McCarthy, who has had loan deals with the likes of Yeovil Town, Leeds United and Ipswich Town during his career, is eager to challenge Rob Green for the gloves following the completion of his move to Loftus Road.
"The Premier League's where you want to be and I'm over the moon," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"Everyone knows how good Rob Green is, and I can learn a lot from him, but I don't want to be a No 2 keeper. I want to play games.
"QPR are a massive club and they've got massive players there now. I'm looking forward to training and getting to know the squad."
