Tottenham are pushing to close a swap deal for QPR striker Loic Remy.

Spurs are offering Townsend in part exchange for the France international.

Hoddle said: "Remy looks a good prospect for me. I have not worked with him before but he looked decent yesterday from what I saw in training.

"[The link with] Townsend? These are the sort of things you have to deal with during this period of time. If it happens, it happens and so be it. We'd work on that."
