QPR closing in on Lazio’s Cisse
QPR are reportedly close to making a move for Lazio striker Djibril Cisse.
The R’s have already been active in the winter market with the signing of Nedum Onuoha from Manchester City and the loan deals of Taye Taiwo, Samba Diakite and Federico Macheda and there could be a fifth player arriving at Loftus Road.
The former Liverpool, Sunderland and Marseille man is a confirmed target for Mark Hughes with a loan deal the most likely scenario.
“As a club we don't like to flag things up until they are actually done and dusted and we are far from that in regards to Cisse.
“So until we do I really can't confirm one way or the other, but certainly there is an interest there.”“We are looking at that [Cisse] situation and we will try and progress on that,” revealed Hughes.
