QPR are chasing Southampton defender Jose Fonte.
The Daily Star says QPR are keen to exploit the current uncertainty at St Mary's, after manager Mauricio Pochettino quit Saints for Tottenham, by moving for the Portuguese defender.
Striker Rickie Lambert has already followed Pochettino out of the exit door to join his boyhood club Liverpool.
