QPR caretaker boss Chris Ramsey says Rio Ferdinand will be in the squad for their trip to Sunderland.
Ramsey is turning to Ferdinand with Richard Dunne out for the season.
Ramsey said: "Rio has trained well, showed professionalism and tomorrow he will be huge for us.
"Obviously (Rio not being in the team) was a situation before I took over. I spoke with him before the weekend and he knew at some stage that there was a chance he'd feature in these games.
"He's prepared himself as he always did at Manchester United to prove he's still a good player."
