QPR boss Harry Redknapp is reluctant to lose Charlie Austin.
The Daily Mail says Sunderland are monitoring the situation of Austin and could make a move for the Queens Park Rangers striker this summer.
The 25-year-old missed the final month of last season through injury as Harry Redknapp's side won promotion from the Championship via the play-offs.
But his goalscoring exploits beforehand haven't gone unnoticed. Austin netted 28 times for QPR in his first year at Loftus Road - despite also being out for the entirety of January - following a £4million switch from Burnley.
