QPR boss Neil Warnock admits he'd like Anton Ferdinand to dump Twitter.
Ferdinand has suffered abuse on Twitter.
Rs boss Warnock said: "I think he's a twit for using Twitter.
"I don't agree with it, but I suppose if you're into that you have to take the rough with the smooth.
"I've already told him to come off Twitter. I'm not a big fan of people talking to big groups of supporters when there's a problem at any club.
"There's only one winner in that situation. You should keep your head down and let things take their course.
"As a manager I could ban players from using Twitter but I'd like to think I treat players as grown-ups not little kids. You hope that they are intelligent enough not to get carried away.
"That's why the FA have warned players that if they go overboard on social networking sites they are going to get fined. So, if they don't want to get fined they have to be careful."
