QPR boss Neil Warnock is tightlipped on his interest for Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.

He refused to confirm whether the hitman was one of his targets.

Warnock told the Fulham Chronicle: "It's been mentioned in the newspapers, but it wouldn't be right for me to talk about other club's players.

"It's true to say there are names on that list. You have to knock some off at times as you realise they're beyond our means at this moment in time. It doesn't mean we can't look at people like that."
