QPR boss Redknapp wants short-term Lampard deal ahead of MLS move

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is ready to take Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard on-loan.

The Daily Star Sunday says Lampard is set to sign a loan deal with QPR in January - before finishing his career in America.

Lamps' uncle, new QPR boss Harry Redknapp, is ready to swoop after Chelsea admitted he could leave next month.

Redknapp desperately wants free-scoring Lamps, 34, to help revive the rock-bottom club.

Early on Friday Redknapp laughed off suggestions that a deal was on, believing Chelsea would not let Lampard leave Stamford Bridge.
