QPR boss Harry Redknapp has urged Tottenham to go local regarding Andre Villas-Boas' successor.
Redknapp is happy to see Tim Sherwood get his chance as caretaker.
He said: "I'm pleased to see Tim Sherwood having a crack at it. I hope Spurs don't feel they've got to go out and get someone's who's foreign. The only success they've had in recent years is through an Englishman.
Owners think it's about big names, but it should be about ability. Maybe we should give him (Sherwood) a foreign or sexy name. I still think there's still enough quality for them to make the top four."
