QPR boss Harry Redknapp insists he was ready to commit to the Ukraine job before Tony Fernandes came calling.
Redknapp revealed yesterday that the deal to lead the eastern European side was all but signed and sealed before QPR moved in.
"I was going to go, it was 100 per cent, for sure," said Redknapp. "On the Friday I was going to take the job. I was going to go, we had agreed on everything. It's going to be a difficult game for England in the Ukraine. We had a tight game in the Euros when they could have beaten us.
"But I think we will beat Montenegro at home and I still fancy us to win the group.
"I still have faith we will win the group, that's my opinion."
