QPR boss Harry Redknapp is planning a January bid for Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker.

Parker is closing on a return to senior action after playing the entire 90 minutes of a 5-1 reserve friendly defeat by Ipswich at Spurs Lodge.

The Daily Mail says Redknapp is keen to take Parker across London next month to reinforce QPR's desperate struggle for Premier League survival.

Parker still has two and a half years of his White Hart Lane contract left.
