QPR boss Harry Redknapp retains hope of signing a new striker this month.

On-fire Charlie Austin has netted 13 goals this season but only two other players - Leroy Fer (3) and Mauro Zarate (2) - have scored more than one.

The R's failed in their swoop for Jermain Defoe and the Daily Star says Redknapp has identified Stoke hitman Peter Crouch as his top target.

Redknapp said: "If we can get another striker in on loan then we'll stay up no problem."
