QPR boss Harry Redknapp says he had other things on his mind when he lashed out at Adel Taarabt last week.
Both men flooded column inches at the beginning of last week before chairman Tony Fernandes declared the whole thing an 'embarrassment' to the club.
"Certain things happened that pushed me over the edge," the manager explained.
"I just had the needle, and when I get the hump I do tend to say what I feel.
"When I'd had the week I'd had with my job and people questioning me, and we got beat in the last minute, I said what I said."
Redknapp added: "I'd be delighted if Adel sticks two fingers up to me by showing what he can do and getting back in the first team. I don't hold grudges."
