QPR boss Harry Redknapp retains hope of signing Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker.
Redknapp completed the signing of former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand this week.
"I like Steven Caulker very much," said Redknapp. "I had him at Tottenham and he has done very well. For him to come and play with Rio would be a great experience for him.
"I am looking to play with three central defenders. So there are those two and then I have got Richard Dunne, Nedum Onuoha, Clint Hill, I have got real good defenders here."
