QPR boss Harry Redknapp has questioned the England commitment of the current generation of players.
Redknapp, who was beaten to the England job by Roy Hodgson, worries about the priorities of players and supporters.
"Most fans are more bothered about their clubs than England and half the players are the same," said the Queens Park Rangers manager. "There are those who'll turn up through thick and thin, like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole, and there are also players who seem to use any excuse not to turn up.
"You can have St George's Park, you can do whatever you want, but are there more kids coming through, and will we have the chance to produce better kids? I'm not sure."
Redknapp added on talkSPORT: "Kids are no longer playing football in the streets. In days gone by, that was all youngsters ever did. Those games were where you learned to play football."
