QPR boss Harry Redknapp insists Premier League managers are dead against preseason overseas tours.
Redknapp wrote in The Sun: "Looking at the pre-season fixtures of our top clubs it is as if the World Cup is 2013, not next year.
"South Africa, Australia, Thailand, Japan, USA..
"The list goes on in a truly globetrotting summer that is supposed to prepare the players for a gruelling season and the build-up to the biggest football tournament on Earth.
"Ask any manager of the top four clubs on the quiet where they would like to go on a pre-season tour, and you can bet your bottom dollar, yen or Krugerrand that it wouldn't be to any of these far-flung venues.
"Once upon a time the idea of pre-season was to get the players back from holiday and train them up to be fit again in time for the big kick-off."
