QPR boss Redknapp pleased with new trio for Norwich draw

QPR boss Harry Redknapp was delighted with his new signings for their 0-0 draw against Norwich City.

Redknapp confirmed after the match that January signing Loic Remy missed the game with a torn groin muscle suffered in training, but at least had the comfort of witnessing impressive debuts by several of his new signings, with Jermaine Jenas also introduced as a second-half substitute.

"Chris Samba was fantastic today," Redknapp said.

"He's not played since November. We asked him how he was and he said he was about 40 per cent fit. If that's 40 per cent, I don't know what he'll be like when he's 100 per cent.

"He was outstanding."

Redknapp added: "Andros Townsend had an outstanding game.

"People keep talking about big money - I think he's on about £3,000 a week. I think we'll get good value out of him. Absolutely brilliant today. Never stopped working.

"He's a young player with a big future."
