QPR boss Harry Redknapp hopes to keep hold of Loic Remy.
The London Evening Standard says the France international had looked set to leave Loftus Road this summer, with an £8.5million fee agreed with Brendan Rodgers' side.
But Liverpool chose not to follow through on the deal, leaving Remy in limbo once again.
The France striker trained with QPR for the first time in pre-season yesterday and Redknapp is looking to convince him to stay.
Redknapp is hopeful that, with Rangers back in England's top flight, Remy could be convinced to stay at the club following a season on loan at Newcastle United, and will offer the Frenchman a new contract.
