QPR boss Harry Redknapp is chasing Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole.

The Daily Mail says Cole is wanted by Redknapp to save QPR from the drop.

The relegation-threatened club will explore the option of taking the former England international on loan until the end of the season when the transfer window re-opens.

The midfielder is an outcast at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers and needs a fresh challenge elsewhere.

The deal would be dependent on both club's striking an agreement over Cole's £90,000-per-week wages.
