QPR boss Harry Redknapp admits he turned down Newcastle United in the past.
The Londoner was offered the job back in 2008 but turned it down.
Instead, United appointed Kevin Keegan who walked out of the club less than a year later after a row over transfer control.
Redknapp told the Evening Chronicle: "I was offered the job but I just couldn't get my Geordie accent right."
And when asked if he regretted turning the job down, he said: "No I don't regret anything, I don't look back, I look forward and move on.
"I went to Spurs and had four fantastic years and I don't regret staying at Pompey where I had a great time.
"And I don't regret being here, I have loved it here. I'm very lucky to keep going."
