QPR boss Harry Redknapp admits he's keen on Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.

Spurs are prepared to listen to bids for Defoe, who also played under Redknapp at West Ham United and Portsmouth.

"I'd love to have Jermain. We made an enquiry but at the moment he's not available," Redknapp said in the London Evening Standard.

"We're nowhere near anything. There is a small chance of it happening."
