QPR boss Harry Redknapp is chasing Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor.

The Evening Chronicle says Taylor is wanted by Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers - but the Londoner faces a big battle to persuade the Whitley Bay lad to move south and drop into the Championship.

Academy product Taylor was the subject of interest from Rangers over the weekend, with a swap deal involving Loic Remy mooted by Loftus Road sources.
