QPR boss no wiser over future of Taarabt

QPR boss Neil Warnock has revealed that co-owner Flavio Briatore is dealing with the matter of Adel Taarabt's future at Loftus Road. The 22 year old Morocco international has been heavily linked with a move to French giants Paris St Germain this summer, with the Ligue 1 side thought to have lodged a £13.5million bid for his services.

Warnock told Sky Sports News: "I think Flavio is dealing with the transfers in and out and I think he's dealing with PSG.

"Thankfully for me it's not down to me. Flavio is going to make the final decision on what money he accepts. They're close to making an offer.

"Whether it's enough for Flavio I don't know, but he'll be telling me as and when he either goes or if he's definitely staying.

"We don't know whether he's going to go or stay, it's up in the air at the moment.

"We're quite optimistic either way. If we lost him it would be easier for me in some respects, the money would come in handy, but I don't think we'll spend any of it."

He added: "With his family all in France, and his girlfriend there as well, there's so many things to taunt you. He's going to be at a top club, (on) massive money.

"It's like anything else, your (Luka) Modric and all these other situations. It's very difficult to keep players once their heads have been turned.

"But he's training hard, he's really doing well and he knows if doesn't go, then what better stage than the Premier League to put his talents on show."
