QPR boss Mark Hughes wants a reunion with Anzhi defender Christopher Samba.

The Daily Mail says Hughes tried to sign the 28-year-old defender in January but was thwarted by Blackburn, who held out for £12million from Anzhi Makhachkala a month later.

The 6ft 4in centre back below has endured a difficult time in Russia and is willing to come back but a deal could prove difficult with Anzhi not keen to sell so soon after signing him.
