QPR boss Mark Hughes says Jamie Mackie can handle facing Blackburn Rovers today.
Mackie suffered a double break in an FA Cup clash at Blackburn in January last year, which kept him out of action for 11 months.
And Hughes admitted the incident could play on his striker's mind today, saying: "I would imagine there might be a moment when Jamie runs in the same area of the pitch where it happened that he may think about it.
"But it is like getting back on a horse.
"It may be a fleeting memory but I don't think it will affect the way he plays or produces."
