QPR boss Hughes plans third bid for Blackburn's Samba

QPR boss Mark Hughes refuses to give up on Blackburn Rovers captain Christopher Samba.

The Guardian says Hughes is considering whether to make a third bid for the Blackburn Rovers central defender Chris Samba, who issued a transfer request on Monday.

QPR have already had offers of £3.5m and £4m, made under Hughes's predecessor Neil Warnock, turned down but the Lancashire club are heavily in debt and need to raise funds. Venky's, the owners, have also noted last weekend's 3-1 win over Fulham by a Rovers side that was without Samba, who claimed he was ill.
