QPR boss Hughes only looking forwards

Mark Hughes will not let his QPR players dwell on past results, but would rather concentrate on picking up points in the games to come.

The west Londoners are in the midst of an important run of fixtures, facing several sides that are looking to stave off relegation from the Premier League.

"There have been mitigating circumstances [in throwing away leads]," he said.

"There have been two games where we have been in control and unfortunately a guy has been sent off and that has affected the outcome.

"Obviously Joey got sent off against Norwich and Djibril last week so in both of those situations we were comfortable and lost six points.

"We could have been sat here and been a lot better off.

"We can look back on it and [cry over] spilt milk somewhat, but you can't do anything about it.

"You have to get on with games you have got ahead of you and that's what we are focusing on.

"It is important we are really positive about every game we have from now until the end of the year.

"There is an understanding with the guys that if we lose players to indiscipline it is going to hurt us all.

"We have got to keep every player on the pitch if we can, that goes without saying.

"We are a good side and create things if we have got everybody on the pitch."
