QPR boss Hughes loses Zamora for season

QPR boss Mark Hughes fears Bobby Zamora is out for the season.

The Daily Mail says Hughes' season has gone from bad to worse with the news that Zamora may need hip surgery.

The injury caused the former Fulham forward to miss Saturday's disastrous defeat against Southampton.

Rangers' medical team are monitoring the injury but initial fears are that the ex-England striker will need an operation to cure the problem.

If it emerges Zamora does need to go under the knife, he will not return until February at the earliest, while their are even fears he could miss the rest of the season.
