QPR boss Hughes keeping on Serrant

QPR fitness coach Carl Serrant is staying.

Sky Sports says Rs boss Mark Hughes has handed Serrant a permanent position.

The 36-year-old former Newcastle defender, who saw his own career cut short by injury, was employed in a similar role by previous boss Neil Warnock.

There had been concerns over his future after Hughes arrived at Loftus Road last month with his trusted backroom staff of Mark Bowen, Eddie Niedzwiecki and Kevin Hitchcock.
