QPR boss Hughes defends Park from harsh criticism

QPR boss Mark Hughes insists he's happy with club captain Park Ji-sung.

The former Manchester United midfielder has been lambasted by former Rs players and fans since his arrival.

"He's a good player and his experience will be invaluable," Hughes told the Fulham Chronicle. "In the last couple of years he hasn't had a run of games and that can get a lot of getting used to.

"He's a good character around the group and that's one of the reasons I gave him the armband.

"He's just needs to get into the rhythm and continuity of playing that he hasn't had up to now.

"Once he has that, it will help his form and his impact on games."
