QPR boss Mark Hughes hopes to close a deal for Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha today.

Onuoha, 25, has travelled to London for a medical and talks with Hughes.

The Hoops are believed to be willing to offer him £35,000 a week, says The Sun.

Boss Sparky said: "He has personal circumstances, every player does.

"They have to be thought through by the player and they have to be comfortable with the football decision they are making.

"A lot of boxes have to be ticked but certainly from a football side, I am sure we can convince him this is where his future lies."
