QPR boss Mark Hughes has confirmed interest in Sao Paulo starlet Henrique.

After defeat at Newcastle United yesterday, the Guardian says Hughes confirmed he was "in the market" for the São Paulo striker Henrique, the Chelsea defender Alex and Blackburn's centre-back Chris Samba.

"If we can bring players into the club this month it will help us," said Hughes. "But it's difficult in January."
