New QPR boss Mark Hughes has indicated that he is keen to sign Alex from Chelsea.
The Brazilian defender is certain to leave Stamford Bridge this winter and a move to Loftus Road has been heavily mooted.
Hughes refrained from naming names but suggests that the R's are definitely eager to get Alex into a Hoops shirt as soon as possible.
"The one you mentioned [Alex] is very much in that level and we would hope to bring that quality of player to the club if that's possible.""I'm always a little wary about talking about players and names," Hughes said.
