QPR are chasing Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo.
The London Evening Standard says QPR are now trying to get Chelsea's highly rated Nigeria international Omeruo on loan instead.
The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough before starring at the World Cup.
Middlesbrough want him back.
