R's boss Neil Warnock wants to add some steel to the engine room ahead of their return to the Premier League.
He is keen to pinch the powerful Frenchman for free when his contract expires next month. However, Wigan and Everton are also believed to be interested in the 26-year-old, who has made 73 appearances for Forest since his switch from Angers three years ago.
