QPR attacker Mackie tribute to Spurs coach Inglethorpe

QPR striker Jamie Mackie has paid tribute to Tottenham youth coach Alex Inglethorpe.

The frontman was at Leatherhead with Spurs coach Inglethorpe and still supports the north London club.

But he goes into today's match hoping to inflict another defeat on Andre Villas-Boas' side.

"I grew up supporting Tottenham so it is a good chance to play them again," Mackie told the Sunday Mirror.

"I owe Alex a great deal as I started out under him at Leatherhead and he has gone on to become a fantastic coach, one of the best I have worked with.

"But it would be nice to win and get the first three points on the board against a top Spurs side."
