QPR and ex-England midfielder Jenas suffers long term injury

Ex-England midfielder Jermaine Jenas may not play football again in 2014 after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in training for Championship QPR. The 31 year old broke down in training on Saturday after twisting his right knee when turning.

QPR's head of medical services Dr Peter Florida said: "JJ has completely ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in his right knee.

"We'll be taking him to see a specialist later this week to decide the next course of action. At this stage it would appear he'll require a full repair, which is likely to keep him out for between six to nine months."
