QPR striker Charlie Austin has blasted West Hem United co-chairman David Sullivan.
The Hammers chief has alleged that the 26-year-old would come with a risk for any club who signs him, suggesting that his knee ligament problems are far worse than it appears.
Sullivan also slandered Austin in relation to his performance against West Ham last season, saying the former Burnley star 'wasn't very good'
The chief of the East London club told Knees Up Mother Brown podcast: “He (Austin) failed a medical at Hull a couple of years ago. They say he has no ligaments in his knee, who knows?
“To sign a player for £15million is a big risk. It'd smash our budget to bits.
“And he didn't keep QPR up. If he'd kept them up single-handedly you might say it was different - and a few of those goals were penalties.
“When we played QPR last year they had to win to stand any chance of staying up and he wasn't very good."
But Austin has quickly hit back at Sullivan by releasing a statement indicating he is not too happy with the 'inaccurate, misleading and uninformed innuendo'.
