Charlie Austin is hoping he can make his England debut alongside national team captain Wayne Rooney.
The QPR striker was called up by Roy Hodgson for Sunday's friendly with the Republic of Ireland and next weekend's Euro2016 qualifier in Slovenia and admits it would be a thrill to play up front with Manchester United star Rooney.
"Looking from afar to training with him close up, Wayne will be a great person to strike up a partnership with," he said.
Austin plundered 18 goals for QPR to be the Premier League's fourth-highest scorer despite the west London club suffering relegation.
