El Jaish SC are believed to be showing considerable interest in Sunderland's Stephane Sessegnon.
The 29-year old Benin international is believed to have been made available by Black Cats boss Paolo Di Canio, prompting the Qatari outfit to show curiosity.
Attacking midfielder Sessegnon joined Sunderland from Paris Saint-Germain in 2011 and has since scored 18 goals and provided 20 assists in 95 appearances.
