Puyol: Barcelona do not need Man City's Robinho

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol isn't enthusiastic about the potential arrival of Robinho from Manchester City.

Puyol believes Robinho would be a luxury and that money can be spent elsewhere strengthening Barca's squad.

"The Brazilian is a great player, but we already have very good players in that position like Thierry Henry and Andres Iniesta, who can also play on the wing. I think we have a comprehensive squad," said Puyol.

Interestingly, Barcelona sources say coach Pep Guardiola put the brakes on talks with City about a January deal for Robinho.
