Puygrenier given clearance to commence stint with Bolton

Sebastien Puygrenier has arrived at Bolton on a loan spell from Russian club Zenit St Petersburg.

The defender has been given an international clearance to commence his stint with the Trotters and manager Gary Megson is looking forward to seeing the 26-year old Frenchman in action.

"We were made aware of the possibility that Zenit might be letting him go so we felt that if we could do a deal then it would be a really good signing for us," Megson said.

"He's played against a lot of the big clubs, he's got a good bit of pace and he knows the game. We are looking forward to seeing whether he can defend in the most difficult league in the world.

"His attitude is fantastic and everybody has been really impressed with him since he has been here."
