Plymouth have completed the loan signing of former Birmingham and Millwall defender Darren Purse. The 34-year-old centre-back is expected to make his move to Devon permanent in the new year with a contract until the summer of 2013.
Pilgrims boss Carl Fletcher told the Plymouth Herald: "It's pleasing for us that Darren has signed. He's someone we've been after for a little while and we had to wait.
"There has been a lot of back and forth going on which we had to sort out. Darren will add a lot to our squad. If you are going to bring players in, they've got to give you something different."
